Lawn Fertilization

Our 7-application program is designed to provide your turf with the necessary nutrient requirements to sustain a proper turf stand as outlined for our climate and soil conditions by Michigan State University.

7 Application Program

Round 1
Dry granular slow-release fertilizer with spot treatment of weeds.           Round 1 applied in Mid March thru Mid April

Round 2
A liquid application of balanced fertilizer and broadleaf weed control that slow prevents Crabgrass. Round 2 applied in Mid April thru May

Round 3
Dry granular slow release all mineral fertilizer with spot-treatment of weeds. Round 3 typically consists of all mineral fertilizers with 20-50% slow release encapsulation to help regulate the growth of turf during the start of the hot season. Our early-summer blend also contains iron for deep green color without causing excessive growth. Round 3 applied in Early June thru Late June.

Round 4
Dry granular slow release all mineral fertilizer with spot-treatment of weeds. Round 4 typically consists of all mineral fertilizers with 20-50% slow release encapsulation to help regulate the growth of turf during the remainder of the hot season. Our late-summer blend also contains iron for deep green color without causing excessive growth. Round 4 applied in Early July thru Late July.

Round 5
Liquid fertilizer and Three Way systemic broadleaf weed control to eliminate newly germinated weeds from summer stress. Round 5 applied in Early August thru Late August.

Round 6
Dry granular all mineral slow-release fertilizer and spot treatmetn of weeds. Round 6 applied in Early September thru Mid October.

Round 7
Dry granular all mineral slow-release winter dormant feeding (promotes root development and faster green up in the spring). Round 7 applied in Mid October thru Mid Nov.

For our client's who require a more cost-effective program, we also offer 5 application, 4 application and 3 application programs.

5 Application Program

If a client only chooses a five-application program then Round 4 will be eliminated leaving them with
Rounds 1,2,3,5,6.

4 Application Program

If a client only chooses a four-application program then Rounds 4 and 6 will be eliminated leaving them with Rounds 2,3,5,6.

3 Application Program

If a client only chooses a three-application program then Rounds 3, 4 and 6 will be eliminated leaving them with Rounds 1,2,5.

Due to the high phosphor levels in our lakes and streams, Back To Nature has adopted a phosphor-free program for all Back To Nature customers.
