Tree & Shrub Care

The following services are recommended to promote healthy trees, shrubs, and landscapes.  Use our request a quote form to schedule a free 12 point lawn analysis when you're ready to take the step to a better lawn.

Dormant Oil

Dormant Oil is applied in early spring to prevent over wintering insects from boring into branches, and prevents the hatching of new insect eggs.  When applied the properly early in the growing season, it can minimize the use of pesticides during the remainder of the growing season.

Deep Root Fertilization

For most trees and shrubs, nitrogen is the most important nutrient regulating growth.  You can get an indication if your trees and shrubs need fertilizer by checking leaf color.  If leaves are light green or yellow-green, they likely need fertlization.  Short annual twig growth, excessive dead wood, and/or sparse foliage can also be signs that your trees and shrubs need a helping hand.

Deep root fertilization is a process where a high quality nutrient solution is injected into the root zone of trees. The materials are injected into the root zone under pressure which helps aerate or provide much needed oxygen to the root system. Roots are opportunistic and develop where ever oxygen, nutrients and moisture are present. Ongoing deep root fertilization programs improve the oxygen content, microbial activity, and nutrient levels within the soil, leading to improved environmental conditions around and within the root zone.

We recommend two treatments of deep root fertilization applied annually, one in late spring thru early summer and one in late fall after deciduous leaf drop. These two treatments provide trees & bushes with the proper balance of nutrients needed to sustain health and proper growth in our region.

Insect & Disease Control

Many insects feed and make their homes in the bark, trunks and branches of shade trees and shrubs. Bark beetles and insect borers belong to several different insect groups all pose serious threats to the health of your trees and shrubs.

Our Insect & Disease control program consists of up to 3 applications per growing season. These applications are targeting insect and disease attacks that harm plant foliage. These treatments also provide protection from additional attacks.
